Skyfall, let the skyfalll, something, something, skyfalll...
I was never really into the Bond films before Daniel Craig took over the lead role, but he, and the cast, crew do a damn good job on the screen. From the beginning there is plenty of action, alot of witty, and not so witty one liners, and just overall a an exciting experience. Javier Bardem as the villian is classic. His facial expressions alone are priceless. There was some worry in recent years that the films would stop due to financial concerns, but thankfully that did not happen. Daniel Craig just plays the charcter right. He's not a jackass trying to act tough, he just does what he has to do to get the job done. Also its always fun to see the hero and villian repartee with each other(Ha!thats a funny word...with) I think this will defintely become one of the classics in film history.
oooofffff! Wreck it ralph!
This was a fun and cool movie. It helps if you are into old video games, but I think it appeals to all ages, just like alot of disney movies do. There were such video game icons like Ryu from streetfighter in the film, and also not so much icons like Q-bert(Why?! and they gave him/it a substantial part too!) So it centers around a video game character called Wreck it Ralph, who is a bad guy in a game called Fix it felix, but wants to be a hero. So he invades other games to do that. The actors who did the voices were cool, except for Sarah Silverman. Sorry, but theres is a balance between being annoying and really annoying. Anyways it was cool that at the Arclight they had classic arcade games setup like donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros, even Fix it Felix. I play like garbage in these games, but its still fun. In closing all I got to say is: "Oh my lands!"(hahaha, still gets me.)

Cloud Atlas, not bad man!
You know even though it has had some mixed reviews, I thought Cloud Atlas was an inventive and engaging film. The film consists of six stories related to each other, some set in the past, present, and also the future. Throughout the film scenes would shift from the past to the future, and I thought this was all done seamlessly. The acting was superb, also the scenery was amazing. The one story that kind of got on my nerves was the post-apocalyptic one where Tom Hanks plays a tribesman called Zachry. At times the dialouge was incomprehensible. "Are you telling me tru-tru?" Anyways, the film is quite long, but it didn't feel like it. It may not be your cup of tea though. "MMMMMMMM, tea."

What's so Sinister about it?
I have mixed feelings on the movie Sinister. Although I thought there were pretty good creepy scenes in it, I thought some of it was laughable. Its about an author who moves into a house with his family where a murder of a family occured. He discovers some film reels that show the murder and others as well. So he tries to figure out if this pagan deity named Baghul( I guess I spelled that right, but who cares) is behind these murders. I don't know, the name Baghul itself is pretty ridiculous. But to kind of sum it up, and not give anything away, there is a scene that my buddy who saw it gave the funniest line. "Way to fill those plot holes Baghul." Hahahaha. Ah, thats too funny. Also there was a scene where the author(played by Ethan Hawke) becomes unhinged, while arguing with his British wife, that was pretty ridiculous. "Enough!" (Thats the second time I've used the term "pretty ridiculous" I sense a pattern) Anyways the soundtrack was pretty cool, but watch it if you want to. That is all.

I was not Taken back, by Taken 2...(Woo-hoo hoo)
Taken 2 was an pretty good followup to Taken. It was pretty much on par with the first film. I would not say better, but it defintely was exciting. Liam Neeson is just an awesome and cool actor. Ever since Darkman from way back, he has been one of my favorite actors. The film starts a little slow, but picks up with chase scenes, witty one liners, and overall action. What surprised me, and I don't know if anyone else felt this was how much of a family movie it was. Of course there was lots of kicking butt by Neeson, but the moments bewteen his daughter and ex-wife were heart felt. It just goes to show you that yeah you can have plenty of action in a movie, but also have tender moments as well. I just don't like it when those moments are overdone and add nothing to the film. I think thats where you have to applaud the acting of Neeson, although his charcter will do anything to protect his family(including lots of shooting, stabbing, breaking necks, etc) he's not afraid to show that he loves his family. Maggie Grace who played his daughter, also gets into the action throwing grenades and such. Shes a pretty awesome looking woman who gets into alot of the action. It's fun seeing his family get into the action as well. Go watch Taken 2, and see what Liam Neeson does best, if you don't he will find you...

Looper did not throw me for a loop(that was good one)
Despite Joseph Gordon-Levitts eyes looking confusing, this was a pretty cool and entertaining film. The plot centered around JGL playing Joe a hitman(A looper) who basically gets paid to kill people sent from the past through time travel. Far-fetch plot? Sure, but thats what makes it fun. Jeff Daniels plays a mob boss. He played that role very well. It was pretty cool to seem him and JGL(yes, im gonna keep using his initials) on the same screen again. Remember the Lookout? Excellent film by the way. Even Bruce Willis was tolerable in this. There were some slow parts, but overall I thought the acting was convincing and the special effects were nicely done. Now hopefully this film, will make more than Dredd! I still can't believe it did not make more money. Anways, Loopout!

Dredd was not dreadful(Wow, pretty lame title post)
I watched Dredd in 3D! yesterday, and it was an action-packed visual thrill ride. My buddy who watched it with me made a great point, that most of the scenes were pretty much shot in one location. Probably cause that saved them money for all those visual and special effects they did. Karl Urban did an impressive job as Judge Dredd. His deadpan humor really fit with the movie. The villain Ma-Ma was pretty cool too. It was played by Lena Headly(she plays Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones) See it if you can. The Soundtrack was amazing as well.
