Hangover 3: All they needed was the mayor...

That was an outside(or inside joke? eh..) joke if you will. Anyways the hijinks were aplenty in Hangover 3. This movie was too funny with the ridiculous chase scenes and the hilarious one-liners. Critics say that its nothing like the original with all the chase scenes and also that the actors were going through the motions. I don't think so. The banter was pretty entertaining. Zack G is funny as hell with his facial expressions, and so are Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper. Can't forget Mr. Chow,who for some reason has to always show frontal nudity in each of the films. Hahaha. There was even a shot of Shangrila man. I wish though there was more of John Goodman and Melissa Mccarthy in the film. Also there was some minor charcters from the first Hangover that I wish were in this one. The critics are wrong once again in their negative reviews of this film. There was alot of laughter in the theatre. Can't really compare with the first two films, which I don't think it should. It's funny. If you don't want to watch it, watch something else like the Great Crapsby. (yeah right, jack!)

A twist that makes sense...

Unlike the twist in Iron Man 3, the twist involving the main villain(Benedict Cumberbatch)in Stark Trek: Into darkness was on the money. I am not a Star Trek fan at all, but I have to say this movie was really good. It had plenty of humor, good action, and real good visual effects. It was pretty cool to see Judge Dredd in it without his mask as Dr. McCoy. He was funny with his weird metaphors. Weird is good though. But Cumberbatch showed what a real movie villian is like. He was cold, calculating, but he even was able to draw sympathy in one scene where you didn't think he could. I can't wait for the continuation of the Sherlock BBC series that he is part of. It will be interesting to see if they continue with this version of the Stark Trek franchise, but we shall see kuya.

Iron Lame?

Well, I'm going to give out alot of plot points from Iron Man 3, so if you don't want to continue reading, then go away. I thought the acting of Ben Kingsley as the villian Mandarin was excellent, but all that came out of that was that he was a drug addicted actor paid off by Aldrich Killian who is actually the Mandarin. What? Are you kidding me jack? Okay, I understand that its a twist, but all Killian did at the end was tell Tony Stark. "I am the Mandarin. I have always been." No explaination as to how, I mean there was some, but not enough. There was of course plenty of good action, and special effects, but also too much of that excruciating dialouge between Pepper and Tony. It was an alright movie, but nowhere near as good as The Avengers.

Hey Jackie...

42 was an awesome movie to watch. The movie seemed like a throwback to classic films from the 50's. The story entails how Jackie Robinson beame the first black person to play in the MLB. Harrison Ford was great as Branch Rickey the baseball executive of the Brooklyn Dodgers who helped bring in Robinson. Everything about the movie had an authentic feel to it. From the baseball grassfield to the cars, clothes. Was it too melodramatic at time, eh who cares? It was a fun movie to watch. I hadn't seen a sports film in quite awhile, so it was good to see one that was well made.(hey did they call you man? Hahaha, couldn't resist.)

Trance...What the hell is that?

Art heist, hypnosis, very weird love story, some action. All that creates the movie Trance. I did not if I would like the movie, but it was cool and different man, it was different...heh, heh, heh. Anyway James McAvoy was excellent in the lead role, so was Vincent Cassel. The soundtrack was right on with the scenes as well. I always like watching movies that are not too mainstream, and have interesting plots. Sometimes you need to watch something different in a movie man. Heh, heh, heh. Right, right.

Hello Im professor Ashland...

Evil dead was an awesome, gory bloodfest. I was not sure if I would like it, but it had plenty of action, chills and whatnot. The cast was one of those twentysomethings you have never heard of, but they did a good job. To act in a film like this requires alot of hard work with dealing with all the bloody effects and such.(I should end more sentences like that with an and, and some word that doesn'y even fit)Even good old Bruce Campbell makes an appearance(I won't tell you when) I will say he should of came in and said "Hello my name is Ashland. I'm a professor of antiquities at Hofstra. Tell me that would not have ruled! It's a good to see a horror movie get the top spot in its first week of release too.

Olympus has fallen kuya

I like action movies when they are done right. It doesn't matter to me if its a one-man army like Rambo or a team like the Expendables. Olympus has Fallen, to me has gotten it right. It stars Gerard Butler a member of the Secret Service who goes to save the president who is being held hostage after the White House is taken over by terrorists. The action was cool, so were most of the effects. But too much of the gunfire looked like out of a video game. Angela Basset acted well as the head of the Secret Service. And so did Aasron Eckhart who played the president. The action was pretty intense and almost non-stop. The interaction between Butler and the presidents young son was funny, but at the same time real. Too many times the interaction between kid and adult actors seems forced. One thing that annoys me is that there was an extra scene at the end of the credits according to Wikipedia. It was a pretty significant one too! Oh well, guess I'll have to check it out when it comes out on dvd.
