Looper did not throw me for a loop(that was good one)

Despite Joseph Gordon-Levitts eyes looking confusing, this was a pretty cool and entertaining film. The plot centered around JGL playing Joe a hitman(A looper) who basically gets paid to kill people sent from the past through time travel. Far-fetch plot? Sure, but thats what makes it fun. Jeff Daniels plays a mob boss. He played that role very well. It was pretty cool to seem him and JGL(yes, im gonna keep using his initials) on the same screen again. Remember the Lookout? Excellent film by the way. Even Bruce Willis was tolerable in this. There were some slow parts, but overall I thought the acting was convincing and the special effects were nicely done. Now hopefully this film, will make more than Dredd! I still can't believe it did not make more money. Anways, Loopout!

Dredd was not dreadful(Wow, pretty lame title post)

I watched Dredd in 3D! yesterday, and it was an action-packed visual thrill ride. My buddy who watched it with me made a great point, that most of the scenes were pretty much shot in one location. Probably cause that saved them money for all those visual and special effects they did. Karl Urban did an impressive job as Judge Dredd. His deadpan humor really fit with the movie. The villain Ma-Ma was pretty cool too. It was played by Lena Headly(she plays Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones) See it if you can. The Soundtrack was amazing as well.

Favorite movies of the summer...

Some cool movies came out this past summer, of course to kick it off was The Avengers which I thought was a real fun movie to watch. The Hulk was awesome! I also liked Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, although I thought the ending left alot to be desired. Nothing like the book. Batman was cool. To be honest, Bane's voice is what did it for me. It was too hilarious. "What a lovely, lovely voice." Hahahaha! Spiderman was good, but the beginning was a little long-winded discussing his origin and all. Premium Rush to me was the surprise of the summer. It was fun, cool movie to watch. However it didn't do so hot in the box office. I have no doubt its gonna be one of those cult favorites when it comes out on dvd. Can't forget The Expendables 2. The scenes with Chuck Norris and the old western music playing were priceless. Arnold was funny, even with stiff lines to Stallone's charcter like "Who is he? Rambo?" Wow, you really had to include a line that referenced a past movie character he played huh? I can't wait for some of the fall movies coming out like Taken 2 (yes theres a part 2) and also Skyfall. It was a good summer for movies, there were some duds(Total Recall, man if that just put that scene from the original with Arnold saying, "See you at the party Richter!" I don't care if didn't fit with the remake, they should have have found a way!) Snow White and the Huntsman(Go away Kristen Stewart) Anyways, maybe this blog will become a movie review one. I'm watching Dredd tommorrow, so will see.
